Making Rugs
It is now well known that craftsmen have begun engaging in making rugs since so-called ancient times of the history of mankind. As far as making rugs process was completely hand-made, every family possessed only a limited number of carpets. It was very difficult to weave a good rug. So making rugs process took much time, maybe even years.
During the process of making rugs, threads of pile are fastened off with knots. Nowadays threads are dragged through the base and these threads are nailed down to each other by using the special fork. The presence of knots differs carpets from other weaving products, such as gobelins or mats.
Depending on the type of a rug, there may be several surfaces on it, like on kilims. All carpets in the world are divided into those who have pile and those who have not. With the development of machinery it is getting more and more difficult to find a real hand-made rug.
While making rugs you should be very accurate to create a real quality rug.
